Daily Sales by Month Report

1. Open the Back Office.
2. Click the Reports icon.
3. Click Daily Sales by Month.
   
4. When the Daily Sales by Month window appears, configure your report settings:
   • Select a report Start Date and End Date.
   • Enter a report Start Time and End Time.
   • Select a Categorize By option from the drop down:
     • None displays basic sales information.
     • Order Type displays basic sales information, as well as a totals column for each order type configured in Settings 4.
     • Department displays basic sales information, as well as a totals column for each department configured in Department Maintenance.
   • Checking Show days with no sales check box will display days during the specified range that have no sales values. If this option is not enabled, days that have no sales values will be omitted from the report.
5. When you have finished configuring your report settings, click the Run Report button. The Daily Sales By Month Report Preview window will appear.
   

Daily Sales by Month Summary

Displays the daily sales for the specified date and time range if values are present. Columns that do not have a value greater than 0 will not be displayed. All values are sorted by month and date in ascending order. When enabled, Order type (Eat In, Take Out, Delivery, etc.) or department (Appetizers, Sandwich, Beer, etc.) columns will be displayed to the left of the Net Sales column.

Month: The month of the specified sales totals. Multiple months can be displayed per report.

Day: The day of the week of the specified sales totals.

Date: The date of the specified sales totals.

Department/Order Type: Displays sales totals by Department or Order Type when Department or Order Type is selected in the Categorize By drop down.

Other: Displays any sales in deleted departments.

Net Sales: The total dollar amount of the day's sales, not including tax, coupons, or discounts.

Discount/Coupon: The total dollar amount of discounts and coupons that were applied to the day's sales. This value is a combined total of coupons and discounts. See Discount Maintenance and Coupon Maintenance for more information on coupons and discounts.

Tax: The total dollar amount of taxes that were collected from the day's sales. See Sales Tax Maintenance for more information on configuring taxes.

Gratuity: The total dollar amount of gratuities collected. Gratuities will only be shown if the House Retains all Gratuities option is activated in Settings 1.

Gross Sales: The total dollar amount of sales including tax and other charges or discounts.

Gross Sales = Net Sales + Surcharge + Zone Charge + Tax + Gratuity + Discount/Coupon

Total: Displays the total net sales, discounts and coupons, taxes, and gross sales for the specified date/time range. If either the Order Type or Department Categorize By option are selected when configuring the Daily Sales by Month Report, order type and department totals will also be displayed per column.

Notes

This report is a house report and will only display gratuities retained by the house.
