Remote Maintenance

Message Maintenance allows users to configure employee email messages, text messages, or Front End messages. With FPOS Remote Control, employee contact information is available via Employee Maintenance, allowing a message to be sent to an employee without having to store their contact information locally.

FPOS Messages are displayed as a one-time message on the Front End when the employee or employees Sign On.

1. Tap the Remote Maintenance icon.
2. Tap the Message Maintenance radio button.
3. Tap the OK button.
4. Tap the Select Employee drop down to view all employees.
5. Select one or more employees from the Available Employees list by tapping the check box to the right of the employee's name.
6. Tap the OK button when you have finished selecting employees to message.
7. Enter a message in the text field.
8. Tap the Send FPOS Message radio button.
9. Then tap the OK button.

In order to send a text or email directly to an employee, the Email Server Settings must be configured in System Settings and each employee's contact information and email or text preference must be setup in Employee Maintenance in FPOS.

1. Tap the Remote Maintenance icon.
2. Tap the Message Maintenance radio button.
3. Tap the OK button.
4. Tap the Select Employee drop down to view all employees.
5. Select one or more employees from the Available Employees list by tapping the check box to the right of the employee's name.
6. Tap the OK button when you have finished selecting employees to message.
7. Enter a message in the text field.
8. Tap the Send Text/Email Message radio button.
9. Then tap the OK button.

Price Maintenance allows the user to set an item's price. The options listed in each drop down in Item Price Maintenance are taken from the store's settings in Department Maintenance, Item Maintenance, Price Levels, and Price Scheduling Maintenance.

1. Tap the Remote Maintenance icon.
2. Tap the Price Maintenance radio button.
3. Tap the OK button. The Item Price Maintenance screen opens.
   
4. Tap the Select Department drop down. When the Department list appears, select a department by tapping the radio button to the right of the department. The tap the OK button.
5. Tap the Select Item drop down. When the department type list appears, select an item by tapping the radio button to the right of the item. Then tap the OK button.
6. Tap the Select Schedule drop down. When the Schedule list appears, select a schedule by tapping the radio button to the right of the schedule. The tap the OK button.
7. Tap the Select Level drop down. When the Schedule Levels list appears,select a schedule level by tapping the radio button to the right of the department. Then tap the OK button.
8. Tap the Price field to set the price. Use the (+) and (-) controls configure the price.
   
9. Tap Set to save the price or click Cancel to cancel any changes. If the item's price has been successfully updated, the Save Complete dialog will appear. Tap OK to dismiss the dialog.
10. Tap the OK button to close Item Price Maintenance and return to the home screen.
