Email and Texting

Users can configure their email and texting settings from the Email and Texting tab. This tab must be configured in order to use the email functions in Alert Maintenance and Employee Messaging.

  1. Open the Back Office.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Select System Settings.
  4. Click the System Configuration tab.
  5. Click the Email and Texting tab.

If necessary, contact your email provider or IT department to acquire this information.

  1. In the Outgoing Server field, enter the address for the outgoing email server.
  2. In the Port field, select the port for the outgoing email server.
  3. (Optional) Check the Server Uses SSL check box.
ClosedHow to Set the Email User Settings

The information entered here will act as the From address for any emails sent.

  1. Enter the full email address in the Username field.
  2. Enter the email password in the Password field.
ClosedHow to Send a Test Email
  1. In the Test Email To field enter an email address to send a test email to. This allows the user to verify their email settings and check the outgoing server path.
  2. Click the Test Email Server Settings button to send a test email.

You can also leave the Test Email To field blank and click the Test Email Server Settings button to send a test email to the username entered above.
