Configuring Mercury Loyalty

1. Open the Back Office.
2. Click Settings.
3. Select System Settings.
4. Click the Interfaces tab.
5. Click the Loyalty tab.
   
6. Select Mercury Loyalty in the Loyalty Type drop down.
7. Enter the API Key you were provided with by the processor.
8. Enter the API Secret.
9. Enter the End Point.
10. (Optional) Check Prompt to add customer if not found to be prompted to add the customer to the customer database if they are not already there.
11. Check the Use Phone Lookup when Prompting Before Tender option to prompt the user to lookup a customer by phone number when the check is tendered, if no customer is currently selected. The Prompt for Customer Before Tender option must be enabled in Section / Table Maintenance > Edit Section Info.
12. Select a Loyalty Information Sent to Mercury option. This option determines how new loyalty entries are sent to and stored in the Mercury Cloud Database. Users can select all three of the available options and FPOS will send requests in the order the options are listed. For example, FPOS will first request the customer entry by customer Phone, then if no phone number is found, by customer Email Address, and finally, by customer Badge.
13. Set the Connection Timeout and Response Timeout times in seconds. Slower networks may need more time.
14. Click File > Save. A prompt confirming a Loyalty Discount has been created displays. The discount is saved as Discount 100 under Discount Maintenance.
    

1. Open the Back Office.
2. Click the Maintenance icon.
3. Click Discount Maintenance.
4. Select a the Loyalty discount from the Discount drop down.
5. (Optional) Set the discount's Discount Description, Security Level, and Discount Image settings as preferred.

6. (Optional) Check Discount Subtracts From Taxable Total.
7. When you have finished configuring your settings, click File > Save.

1. Open the Back Office.
2. Click the Maintenance icon.
3. Click Section/Table Maintenance.
4. Click Edit > Edit Section Info.
5. Check Prompt For Customer Before Tender.
6. Click File > Save.

You will also need to configure a View Loyalty Info Button on the Front End and configure a Discount Items button to apply a specific discount to the entire sale.

Discounts for the Mercury Loyalty program are created through Mercury. Contact Mercury for instructions on how to create discounts.
