Applying Mercury Loyalty Discounts

Mercury Loyalty enables users to add a loyalty program to the FPOS software. Users can insert the pseudo variable #LOYALTYINFO in the Receipt Header/Footer. This pseudo variable will display loyalty info including: Customer Name, Customer Phone, Customer Email, Current Points, Earned Points, and Total Points.

  1. Ring up a sale and select the sale.
  2. Lookup the customer to associate the customer with the sale.
  3. You will be prompted to add customers who are not in the Loyalty Program to your customer database. Click Yes to automatically add the customer to the Loyalty Program.

  4. Click the discount button associated with the Loyalty Program.
  5. Select a reason for applying the discount and click OK.
  6. Select the discount to apply from the Loyalty Information dialog and click OK.

  7. The discount should now be applied. Continue settling the sale as normal. The customer will receive a text message stating the number of credits earned towards their next reward. If a customer has earned a reward, the customer is notified of having earned a reward and the texts states what the reward is.

Discounts must be mass attributed to any items being discounted in order to be applied. See Mass Attribute Items. Also, a customer must be associated with a sale in order to apply loyalty discounts.
