The General Info 2 tab contains Terminals' display settings such as: screen size, rounding, colors, and printing options. The tab also contains settings for the Revenue Center and Age Verification.
Add Terminal
Allows the user to add a terminal to the system.
Remove Terminal
Allows the user to remove a terminal from the system. Select a terminal from the Terminals list box and then click the Remove Terminal button.
Copy Terminal
Performs a bit for bit copy of all settings of the terminal being copied. Select a terminal from the Terminals list box and then click the Remove Terminal button.
Set Mobile Default
Allows the user to select a Mobile Terminal and assign it as the default terminal. The first configured Mobile Terminal is set as the Default Mobile Terminal, any secondary Mobile Terminals will use the Default Mobile Terminal's settings.
Terminal Price Level
The terminal pricing level allows the price to vary depending on the terminal used to ring up the order.
Terminal Section
This setting allows a terminal to ignore the employee’s section setting and forces the section chosen on the terminal.
Color Scheme
Color schemes may be set to impose certain effects on the Front End. A color scheme simply changes the background colors of buttons to the set scheme to add effect.
Screen Size
The terminal’s screen size (as set by Windows display settings) must be set here also to make the Front End full screen.
Wallpaper
Allows the user to set the Front End wallpaper. Browse for .BMP files by clicking the ellipses button.
Terminal Type
Sets whether the Terminal is a: Full Terminal, Back Office Only Terminal, Handheld Terminal, or Mobile Terminal. The, configure the terminal specific settings.
Full Terminal or Back Office Terminal Settings
Default Terminal Screen
The default terminal screen is the screen that will be loaded automatically when the front end is first opened or an employee signs off.
LAN IP Address
The Local Area Network’s IP address must be set here in order for the Front End to accept updates and send check updates to the server. The IP Address entered here should match that of the static IP entered in the TCP/IP settings.
Terminal IP Address
When using Full Terminal or BackOffice Only Terminal, your LAN IP Address should be your server's IP Address. The Terminal IP Address should be all zeroes.Handheld Terminal Settings
Signature Capture
The type of signature capture that will be used on the device. Choose from Do no capture, Capture, Capture Upside Down.
Handheld Screen Type
Select the screen resolution of your handheld device.
Terminal IP Address
When using Full Terminal or Back Office Only Terminal, your LAN IP Address should be your server's IP Address. The Terminal IP Address should be all zeroes.Mobile Terminal Settings
Set Function Permissions
Allows the user to set the Function Permissions for the default Mobile Terminal in the Mobile Functions window. The default Mobile Terminal settings will be applied to all Mobile Terminals.
Sign On Requirements
Sets the requirements for whether an Employee ID, Employee Password, or both are required for signing on.
Due Rounding
The due rounding function allows a terminal to round checks to the nearest
Nickel, Dime, Quarter, Fifty Cents, or Whole Dollar. This feature is often used by bartenders who do not want to deal with pennies.
Print Order Double Wide
This option automatically prints any order sent from the terminal in a double wide manner to make it easier to read. Double wide printing reduces the number of characters allowed as each character is taking up double the space.
Print Order Double High
This option automatically prints any order sent from the terminal in a double high manner to make it easier to read. That double high printing reduces the number of characters allowed as each character is taking up double the space.
Select All Seats Initially
The select all seats initially function automatically highlights all seats for any function that uses multiple seats. (Ex. the Settle Check by Seat Number button function).
Print Modifier Prices
The print modifier prices will print the price of modifiers on their own line instead of totaling it into the item above.
Show Printed Items
Enabling this option places a green asterisk next to all items which have been sent to their respective remote printers.
VAT Taxes are "Smart"
The VAT Taxes are “Smart” option allows the VAT Taxes to be an inclusive tax until an item with exclusive tax is placed in the sale.
Disable Due Rounding if Smart VAT Applies
If checked, Disables Due Rounding if the VAT Taxes are "Smart" checkbox is selected.
Send Output to Drive Thru Scoreboard
Enabling this option will enable the terminal to display the current order being placed to the attached drive thru scoreboard selected in System Settings.
Cash Drawer Must Be Closed To Continue
The point of sale system will not allow the user to work with the system while the Cash Drawer is open. Please note that a custom cable must be used in order to enable this option for printer-driven drawers. This option will not work for secondary, printer-fired drawers. (Drawers
connected to the printer via a "Y" cable).
Open Cash Drawer for Zero Dollar Sales
Sets the Cash Drawer to open even when the sale is for zero dollars.
Use Starting Terminal Revenue Center
Uses the default revenue center for the terminal you are adding.
Revenue Center
A Revenue Center is simply a way of grouping terminals together so that their sales related info is separate from other Revenue Centers. Each Revenue Center can use their own credit card processing information. A terminal can only belong to 1 Revenue Center.
Default Terminal End Shift Float
The amount of cash that should be left in the drawer at the close of a shift when using Cash Reconciliation to track shifts, by terminal, with a Floating Till.
Item Age Verification Source
Sets the method used to verify the age of a customer when age verification is required.
Front End Database Recovery Mode
Defines the action that will be taken when the Front End is forced into Recovery Mode. Select a Recovery Mode action option or select the Use System Settings Default to use the Recovery Mode option selected in System Settings.
Use Alternate RDP Logon
When enabled, this option allows the user to specified a qualified Windows User Name instead of using the LAN IP Address and Terminal IP Address. Enter the domain\user name or pc name\user name in the Windows User Name field. For example, jsmith-pc\handhelduser.
