Purging Old Data

FPOS automatically purges old data in order to maintain itself and create room for newer data. The Purge Old Data operation will remove data based on thresholds defined in System Settings. See Data Retention for more information. The Purge Old Data utility is placed in the Windows startup when FPOS setup is run and can be scheduled to run at a specified time.

ClosedHow to Set Up a Purge Old Data Schedule in the Windows Scheduler
  1. Open Windows Scheduler.
  2. Click on Edit > New.
  3. Type in a description under Program Description.
  4. Type in the Command Line or click the Browse button to browse to the executable (.exe) you want to run.
  5. Set the Window State.
  6. Set the Start Date & Start Time for when you want the program to start running.
  7. Set the Resolution & Resolution Units.
    Example: To run a program once a day would be setup with the Resolution Day and Resolution Units to 1. To run a program twice a day set Resolution to Hour and Resolution Units to 12.
  8. Click OK to add to Windows Scheduler.
