Sales by Serving Period Report

1. Open the Back Office.
2. Click the Reports icon.
3. Click Sales by Serving Period.
   
4. When the Sales by Serving Period window appears, configure your report settings:
   • Enter a Start Date, Start Time, End Date, and End Time.
   • Select departments to show from the Departments list box OR click the Select/De-Select All Dept's button to select or de-select all departments.
   • Select items to show from the Items list box OR click the Select/De-Select All Items button to select or de-select all items.
   • Select a Sort By method . This option is only available when the Report Output type is Item Detail by Serving Period.
     • The Item option sorts the item sales detail alphabetically by the Item column.
     • The Quantity Sold option sorts the item sales detail numerical (highest to lowest) by the Quantity column.
     • The Dollars Sold option sorts the item sales detail in descending order by the Amount column.
   • Select a Report Output type:
     • The Item Detail by Serving Period setting displays serving period sales by item details. This option requires the user to select a Sort By Method and a Scalable Items option.
     • The Summary by Order Type setting displays serving period sales by order types. Order types can be configured in System Settings 4.
     • The Department Detail by Serving Period option displays serving period sales grouped by department. This setting also displays the total for the major group.
   • The Include Voided Items option displays voided items in the totals when enabled.
   • Select a Scalable Items display type. This option is only available when the Report Output type is Item Detail by Serving Period.
     • The Show Quantity Sold: option displays the quantity of items sold as an item count.
     • The Show Weight Sold: option displays the quantity of items sold by weight. Items must have the Item is Scalable option enabled in Item Maintenance.
   • Select a Serving Periods to Use option:
     • The Use Serving Periods Defined in System Settings option displays serving periods as defined in System Settings 4.
     • The Use Hour of Day as Serving Period option displays sales information by hour.
     • The Use Serving Periods Defined Below option displays the serving periods defined in the table below. You can use the table to define up to nine serving periods.
       • Enter a Description, in the table, for the new serving period.
       • Enter a Start Time and End Time for the new serving period.
         
5. When you have finished configuring your report settings, click the Run Report button. The Sales by Serving Period Report Preview window will appear.

Item Sales Detail

Displays serving period sales by item details.

Serving Period: The serving period as defined in the Serving Periods to Use section of the Sales by Serving Period Report configurations.

Item: The item name as configured in Item Maintenance.

Description: The item description as configured in Item Maintenance.

Quantity: The quantity of the specified item that was sold.

Amount: The total dollar amount of the specified item that was sold.

Order Type Summary

Displays serving period sales by order type.

Serving Period: The serving period as defined in the Serving Periods to Use section of the Sales by Serving Period Report configurations.

Order Types: The total dollar amount of sales for the specified order type. A column will be shown for each order type configured in System Settings 4.

Total: The total dollar amount of sales settled during the specified serving period.

Totals: The total dollar amount of the specified order type's sales settled during all serving periods shown.
