End Day Report

• The Enable End of Day option must be enabled in Cash Reconciliation.
• The Enable Shift Tracking option must be enabled in Cash Reconciliation.
• Either the Use Float or Enter Starting Balance option must be enabled in Cash Reconciliation. (Optional) If Use Float is selected, the user may also enter a default float amount by employee or drawer in the Cash Reconciliation tab, or by terminal in System Devices > General Info 2 tab.

1. In Button Maintenance, select Register Reports from the Function drop down.
2. Click Edit Function Data.
   
3. Select End Day Report under Report Type.
4. Under Report Options select your viewing options:
   • Allow User to View Report displays the report preview window. The user must select the Print option in the preview window.
   • Print the Report Immediately does not display the preview window and prints the report automatically.
   • Print Store Name displays the store name associated with the store's license.
5. Click OK to confirm your settings.
   
6. Click File > Save As in the Button Maintenance dialog to save your settings.
7. When the Save As dialog appears, enter a Button Name and click OK.

You will need to finish configuring your button settings. For more information on configuring your button, see Create New Button.

1. After signing on to the Front End, select the End Day Register Report button you configured.
2. The End Day Report preview window will appear. You can choose to view the report OR print to a receipt printer by selecting the Print button.
3. Select the OK button when you have finished with the report.

The day start and day end times are listed at the beginning of the End Day Report. Day values are then listed by terminal, employee, or drawer based on the settings configured in the Cash Reconciliation tab.

End Bal: The ending balance by terminal, employee, or drawer. This value is entered by the employee when ending their shift and/or closing the day on the Front End.

Beg Bal: The beginning balance by terminal, employee, or drawer. This value is entered by the employee who opens the day or starts the shift.

Sales: The total of all cash sales by terminal, employee, or drawer.

Variance: If the drawer is properly balanced, the variance should equal "0," although it is common to have a small variance. Variance = Ending Cash - Sales
