Creating a Canadian EMV Media Type

Users will need to create an Canadian EMV media type when using Canadian EMV payment processing.

System Requirements and Prerequisites

• Users will first need to setup Canadian EMV settings in System Devices and System Settings.

How to Create the Canadian EMV Media Type in Media Maintenance

1. Open the Back Office.
2. Click the Maintenance icon at the top of the dashboard.
3. Click Media Maintenance.
4. Select an empty Media slot from the drop down.
5. Enter a Receipt Description for the media type. In this example we used Canadian EMV.
   
6. Set the Halo and Lalo amounts.
7. Check the Media is Manual Entry option.
8. Select the Media is Canadian EMV radio button.
9. Click File > Save.
