Customer Maintenance is used to create, modify, or delete customers in the customer database. The database is used for: customer invoicing, reservations, Frequent Diner information,and promotions.
Customer Number
The customer number is a unique identifier for each customer.
The customer number is the last field entered when adding a customer. A prompt for the customer number will open upon saving the customer's information.
Phone
The phone number field is where the nine-digit phone number is stored. This field is also used for Caller ID. Phone field labels can be renamed by entering new labels under Phone Descriptions in System Settings 3 tab.
Extension
This field stores a customer's phone extension.
Birthday
This field is used for entering a customer's birthday. The correct
form to enter a customer's birthday is MM/DD/YYYY. For example 08/16/2002 would be August 16, 2002.
Email Address
The email address field is used to store a customer's email
address for e-mailing receipts and sending mailings to frequent customers. Beginning in version 5.0.94.11, Email Address entries can be up to 100 characters in length.
Last Name
Customer's last name.
First Name
Customer's first name.
M.I.
Customer's middle initial.
User Data
The User Data Field can be used to enter any data desired. Think of this field like an Other or Comments field.
Company Name
The name of the Company the customer works for.
Customer Badge
This field is the customer’s “badge number”. The Customer Badge
allows a user to look up a customer's information using a magnetic card that is swiped into the system.
Meals Remaining
This is the number of meal items the customer has left under meal plans or other promotions. These items are defined by the “Customer Meal Item Mask” in Settings 3.
Street Address
This is the customer's address for delivery and mailing promotions.Two fields have been provided for the address.
City
The city the customer resides in.
State
The state the customer lives in.
Zip Code
The customer's zip code..
Comments
A general note field used for entering comments concerning the customer.
Directions to House
Comment field for entering directions to a customer’s house; typically used for delivery purposes.
Delivery Zone
If the customer is to be charged a fee for delivery (as defined by
Zone Charges Maintenance) then a delivery zone
must be attached.
Price Level
This option allows a customer to be attached to a specific price
level. Any items ordered after the customer has been attached to the check will be priced according to the price level specified.
Last Order
Displays the date and what was ordered for the customer’s last four orders.
YTD Purchase
This field displays the customer's total purchases for the year. This field cannot be modified manually; it adds each purchase to the YTD Total when a check is settled.
VIP Auto Discount
This will automatically give the selected discount to the
customer for items purchased.
