Importing CSV Files

In the example below, a Customer List is imported to Customer Maintenance. It is suggested you back up your CSV file before making any changes.

1. Open the CSV file in Microsoft Excel or another program that supports the CSV file type.
2. Delete rows one through three, shown below in red.
3. Delete the header row, shown below in yellow. This step is optional. If you do not delete the header row, you will need to check the Don't Include First Row check box before retrieving the first record in Customer Maintenance.
4. Delete any empty rows.
5. Delete rows containing unnecessary information, such as the page number row shown below.
   
   
6. After preparing the list for import, save your list in CSV format.
