Batching Dial-up Credit Cards (DataTran CCAM)

DataTran is a payment processing system that uses a dial-up connection to process transactions. The DataTran unit must be connected to the server via a 9-pin serial port. All DataTran transactions must be processed at the server, including batching credit sales. Users will need to configure their DataTran processing settings in the Back Office before processing transactions using the DataTran CCAM. See Configuring DataTran Payment Processing for more information.

Users will need Back Office permissions to run the Batch Report.

  1. Open the DataTran Credit Card Auth Module.
  2. Click the DataTran menu.
  3. Click the Batch Functions option.
  4. When the Credit Card Authorization Module dialog appears, click Yes to continue. Note that no dial-out authorizations can be performed while the DataTran CCAM is being batched.
  5. When the Batch Functions window opens, click the Batch Report button to view the Batch Report.
  6. Click the Print button to display the Printer Selection dialog.
  7. Select a print option and then click the Print button.

  5. When the Batch Functions window opens, click the Settle Batch button to settle the current credit card batch. Batch settle time will vary depending on the size of the batch and the connection speed of the phone line. When the batch has been settled successfully, the Batch Settled Successfully dialog will appear. Record the “Call In Code” or “Control Number” for tracking purposes. Then click the OK button.
