EMV with Fidelis Monetra

This can be located in the C:\FPOS\Install\FuturePOSMonetra.exe folder. The installer needs to be run on any terminal with a Fidelis EMV device connected.

1. Connect the Ingenico IPP 320 device. Use the Force Communication Port feature to connect to a Communication Port not currently in use. Use Device Manager to determine which Communication Ports are being used.
2. Obtain the drivers at https://esqa.moneris.com/connect/en/download/drivers/index.html. The website may change and is beyond our control. and install the IPP USB driver.
   
3. Click Next through the installer, and then click Install.
   

1. Launch the Back Office > Settings > System Devices > Terminals > Credit/EMV tab.
2. Select the Terminal you wish to configure, then under the Credit Device Type drop down, select Fidelis . Fidelis is available as an option after the software has been licensed.
   
3. Click "Get Device Settings," this will populate the User ID and Password fields.
   
4. Choose the Com Port, which is the Communication Port the Pin Pad is connected to. This can be verified in Device Manager>Ports(COM & LPT)).
5. Select the options you wish to use, and click File > Save.
6. On the Front End, select the Button you made for the Show Device Set Up Screen. This will sync parameters into the iPP 320.
7. This step should be completed on each terminal using EMV.

Fidelis EMV Check Boxes Explained

Do Not Allow Credit Card on Frontend

If checked, this will allow other cards to be swiped on the Front End. Credit Cards will be prompted to use the Chip Reader on the pin pad.

Device Is Not Encrypted

If checked, this shows the device is not encrypted. If the device is not encrypted, this will let Future POS know when processing transactions.

Enable Gift Cards

If checked, this will allow bank gift cards to be swiped on the device.

Perform Gift Card Sales using the "No NSF" Sale Method

If checked, one can settle to a bank gift card media using the "No NSF" Sale Method option. This option will permit one to settle a sale using the remaining balance of bank gift cards as partial payments on the sale total.

Perform Balance Inquiry Prior to Issue/Reload to Type

If checked, this will allow cards with balances to be reloaded. With this option enabled, the user

will be able to perform both functions using the Issue a Bank Gift Card button. If this option is disabled,

the user will need two separate buttons - one to reload and one to issue.

2. Two buttons need to be created using the Button function of Credit/EMV Device Functions.
   
3. Show Device Setup Screen - This will initiate the parameter downloads for the device which is required at initial setup. This will take the parameters downloaded into System Devices and inject them into your EMV device.
4. Batch Close - This will close the batch manually if not using auto batch close. If a receipt printer is attached this will print a batch close chit (from the host).
5. Show Device Report Screen - Gives you a current batch summary. The info is sent to the receipt printer on the terminal it isattached to.

If you are not using the host receipts, the following pseudo variables are required to be used:

• #EMVAPPLICATIONLABEL - the application label from the host.
• #EMVAID - Application Identifier Terminal determines supported course of actions in order to determine the approval for credit or debit.
• #EMVTVR -Terminal Verification Results is a system of bytes that uses a bit checksum to determine to approve, deny, or make sure a transaction is online when processing.
• #EMVIAD - Issuer Application Data contains proprietary application data for transmission to the issuer in an online transaction.
• #EMVTSI - Transaction Status Information indicates the functions performed in a transaction.
• #EMVARC - Authorization Response Code is the code that defines the disposition of a message.
• #EMVCVM - Cardholder Verification Method, the CVM shows how it was entered either via signature, pin, or none.
