Adding Bitmap Images to Receipts

Users can configure logos to display on receipts by burning an image to the printer or by adding a registry key value which references the logo's (bitmap file) path. As of version 5.0.95.10, users can add up to five different receipt logo/bitmap images via the registry.

  1. Download and run the Epson TM Flash Logo Utility, available for download in the Dealer Portal Public Files page.
  2. Run the installer, selecting your printer settings when prompted.
  3. Once the installation has completed, launch the TM Flash Logo Setup executable.
  4. In the TM Flash Logo Setup, Setup tab, configure your printer Port Settings.
  5. Click the Comm. Test button to test the connection between the computer and the printer.
  6. Click on the Bitmap Selection tab.
  7. Click the Open file button.
  8. When the Open window appears, navigate to the bitmap and click Open. Bitmaps must be monochrome and no larger than 192 KB.
  9. Click the Logo Upload tab.
  10. Click the bitmap file name in the Selection Logo Files list box, then click the Device button.
  11. When the upload completes, power cycle the printer.
  12. Click the Logo Printout tab and then click the Print button to test the logo.

Users will need to complete these steps for each of the five available Logo File registry keys they wish to configure.

  1. Open the Registry Editor.
  2. Navigate to the Future P.O.S. Registry:
    • x86: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Future P.O.S.\GRAPHICS FILES
    • x64: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Future P.O.S.\GRAPHICS FILES
  3. Right click in the preview pane and scroll over the New option.
  4. Select String Value option from the submenu.
  5. Name the value Receipt Logo File x, where x equals the registry key logo number. As of version 5.0.95.10, users can add up to five different receipt logo/bitmap images via the registry. Registry keys are listed below.
    • Receipt Logo File
    • Receipt Logo File 2
    • Receipt Logo File 3
    • Receipt Logo File 4
    • Receipt Logo File 5
  6. Double click the registry keys to edit the value data.
  7. When the Edit String window appears, enter the path of the image file in the Value Data field. For example, C:\test.bmp.
  8. Click OK.

  1. Open the Back Office.
  2. Click the Settings icon.
  3. Click System Devices.
  4. Click the Terminals tab.
  5. Click the Receipt Printer tab.
  6. Select the printer from the Printer Type drop down.
  7. Check the Use NV Bitmap Logo option. This option enables logo printing from the NVRAM or non-volatile memory of the selected printer. Do not use this option if using the registry logo option.
    • Pause After Printing NV Bitmap Logo pauses the print job after printing the logo to improve printer performance.
    • Use New NV Bitmap Logo Method allows the user to create a registry key containing a path to the bitmap file. This can be used to bypass burning the image to the printer.
  8. In the System Devices > Terminals tab, click the Receipt Header/Footer tab.
  9. In the receipt text field, add the Pseudo-Variable#RECEIPTLOGOx to the location where you want the logo to appear on your receipts. If you have configured multiple receipt logos, be sure to use the correct receipt logo number for your desired image.
