The Select by Mask and De-Select by Mask functions can be found in various options within Button Maintenance and Item Maintenance and are used as filters to modify the settings of selected items or buttons. Select by Mask is used to select items from a list while De-Select by Mask is used to de-select items in a list. Items must already be selected to use De-Select by Mask. For example, the Mass Attribute option in Item Maintenance allows the user to apply item configurations such as Apply Surcharge if "To Go" to multiple items that have been Selected by Mask.
The Select by Mask example shown below allowed the user to select multiple buttons to alphabetize from Button Maintenance in the Back Office using the Select by Mask function. To access the Select by Mask options in Button Maintenance, click the Edit menu > Alphabetize Buttons option.
