Sales Projection Report

The Sales Projection Report displays a projection of sales for a specified date based on the previous five weeks sales. Users can define the sorting options by resolution or serving period.

  1. Open the Back Office.
  2. Click the Reports icon.
  3. Click Sales Projection Report.

  4. When the Sales Projection Report window appears, configure your report settings:
    • Select a Projection Date from the drop down. The report will project sales figures for this date.
    • Select a Resolution from the drop down. Select from 15 Minute, Half Hour, Hour, or Day.
    • Select the Don't Include Zero Priced Items check box to exclude zero priced items from the sales projection figures.
    • Select the Include Voided Items check box to include voided items in the sales projection figures.
    • Select an Hours Format option:
      • Show All Hours Individually displays sales projections by the individual time periods (resolution) selected.
      • Show Hours Grouped by Serving Period displays sales projections by serving period. A resolution can not be defined for this option, as serving periods are already defined in Settings 4. Note: A Resolution setting is not needed when this option is selected.
      • Show Hours for a Specific Serving Period displays sales projections for a specific serving period. Select a Serving Period from the drop down.
    • Select Departments/Items to Include. Users can select Departments, Items, or both and the Select De-Select All... buttons can be used to select or de-select all options in the list boxes.
  5. When you have finished configuring your report settings, click the Run Report button. The Sales Projection Report Preview window will appear.

Sales Projection By Day

Displays sales statistics for the previous five weeks, as well as the projected sales for the specified date.

Item: The department and/or item sales are being projected for.

Time Period: The time period specified when configuring the Sales Projection Report. This can be displayed in 15 minute, half hour, hour, and day increments or by serving period.

 

The remaining columns display previous sales statistics for the past five weeks and one column with the projected sales figures. For example, if the projected sales figures represent a Tuesday, the sales statistics shown will reflect sales figures from the previous five Tuesdays and a projected sales figure for the next Tuesday.
