Item Size Maintenance

Item Size Maintenance allows the user to configure multiple sizes for one item. Item sizes can then be used to create new items using the Create Items by Size option in Item Maintenance.

  1. Open the Back Office.
  2. Click the Maintenances icon.
  3. Click Item Size Maintenance.
  4. Verify that <New> is selected in the Item Size drop down. This option is selected by default.
  5. Enter an Item Description Prefix. This is the text that will be appended to the existing item's Description in Item Maintenance. In this example, we entered an Item Description Prefix of "20 oz."
  6. Enter a Receipt Description Prefix. This is the text that will be appended to the item's current Receipt Description in Item Maintenance. In this example, we entered a Receipt Description Prefix of "20 oz."
  7. Click the File menu > Save.
  8. When the New Item Size dialog opens, enter an Item Size, then click OK. In this example, we saved the item size as "20oz."

Deleting an item size will also delete any associated items in Item Maintenance.

  1. Open the Back Office.
  2. Click the Maintenances icon.
  3. Click Item Size Maintenance.
  4. Select the item size you want to delete from the Item Size drop down.
  5. Click the Edit menu > Delete.
  6. When the confirmation dialog opens, click Yes to delete the item size.
