How to Access Currency Conversion Maintenance
- Open the Back Office.
- Click the Maintenances icon.
- Click Currency Conversion Maintenance.
Currency Conversion Maintenance allows the user to define an exchange rate between various forms of currency. This amount is displayed on the Front End when settling a check. Users can enter up to fifty currency conversion rates.

Base Currency Description
Enter a base currency description. For US stores, this value will be US Dollars.
Short Desc
Enter a short description of your base currency. You may enter up to four characters in the text field. For example, USD.
Currency Description
Enter a Currency Description for a foreign currency to convert to. For example, Euros.
Short Description
Enter a short description of the foreign currency you will be converting to. For example, EUR.
Exchange Rate
Enter the exchange rate in the text box. Currency should be enter in the Base Currency to Foreign Currency format, where the Base Currency equals 1. For example, 1 USD = .785018 EUR.
Notes
The Media is a Foreign Currency option must be enabled in Media Maintenance for Currency Conversion to work on the Front End. Select a Foreign Currency in the drop down.
