FPOS Mobile Remote Control VPN Installer

The FPOS Mobile Remote Control VPN Installer downloads and installs the software required to use the FPOS Remote Control app. The VPN Installer is included in the FPOS5 Bin folder when Web Services is enabled during installation of FPOS.

  • FPOS must be installed with Web Services enabled (v5.0.92.0 or higher).
  • FPOS must be licensed.
  • FPOS Mobile Remote Control VPN Installer must be run on the Server.
  • Users may also need to add the LogMeIn VPN Hamachi client to the firewall's accepted software list for all profiles.

  1. Navigate to C:\FPOS5\Bin\. Note that FPOS is installed to a directory selected by the user during installation and may be different from the example shown..
  2. Open FPOSMobileVPNSetup.exe.
  3. Click Start to begin the installation process.

    The installer will check for the proper FPOS configurations.

    Once the installer has verified the FPOS software is compatible, it will launch the LogMeIn Hamachi Setup.

  4. When the LogMeIn Hamachi Setup dialog appears, select a preferred language from the drop down. Then click the Next button.
  5. When the LogMeIn Hamachi information screen appears, click the Next button to continue the installation process.
  6. When the Terms and Conditions of Use screen appears, click the I Agree button to agree to the terms and conditions of installation.
  7. When the Attach client to LogMeIn account screen appears, verify the client, shown in red, below. Then click the Next button.
  8. When the Choose Install Options screen appears, select a Destination Folder and Programs Menu group or use the defaults shown. If desired, select the Create Shortcut on Desktop check box to create a shortcut to the LogMeIn Hamachi client. Then, click the Install button. The installation screen will open.

  9. When the LogMeIn Hamachi Setup Complete screen appears, verify that the Launch Hamachi check box has been enabled, then click the Finish button.
  10. When the LogMeIn Hamachi dialog opens, click the Power button to power on the Hamachi client.
  11. The Register this client dialog will open. Enter the Client name (PCName.DomainName) for the machine using the Hamachi client and then click the Create button. The Hamachi client will attempt to connect to a store specific VPN.
  12. The FPOS Mobile Remote Control VPN Installer will attempt to connect to the FPOS Gateway. You may need to click the Retry button to prompt the FPOS Mobile Remote Control VPN Installer to attempt to connect.

  13. Once the Installer has contacted the FPOS Gateway, click the Finish button to close the FPOS Mobile Remote Control VPN Installer dialog.
