Processing with MPSBridge (formerly Mercury Dial Bridge)

MPSBridge provides dial backup capability for Mercury Internet processing using a Datacap DialLink™ modem and a regular phone line.The IP/Dial Backup module and the DSI Client must be running in order for the backup to work. The MercuryIPBridge software and MPSBridge License file can be downloaded from http://www.datacapepay.com/mpsbridge.htm. Users must configure their credit card settings in System Settings > Credit/Debit/Gift tab > Credit Card tab prior to setting up the Datacap software. The Server 1 settings should be set to 127.0.0.1 and the Server 2 settings set to b2.backuppay.com.

  1. From the Datacap software, click Setup > Setup Information.
  2. Under Transport select IP with DIAL Backup.
  3. Set the Merchant Category to Restaraunt.
  4. Verify the Comm Port setting.
  5. Set the Mercury Authorization Phone Number to 18778471343.
  6. Run the IP/Dial Backup module.

The MPSBridge software can also be used as a backup for processing Mercury Gift cards. To use the backup to process gift cards, enter the loop back address (127.0.0.1) in the Server 1 field of the Bank Gift Card tab.
