Paydiant

Paydiant is a mobile payment solution that allows customers to pay using their smartphone. For more information on Paydiant for businesses, visit the Paydiant website, http://www.paydiant.com/retailers/retailers-overview.html. Note that Paydiant requires the user to display the QR code necessary for settling sales in a location that is easily visible to the customer.

Paydiant Media must be configured for use on the Front End when settling sales using the Paytons app. For special offers or discounts via the Payton's app, users will need to use the Paydiant Offer Media type when settling the sale.

  1. Open the Back Office.
  2. Click the Maintenance icon.
  3. Click Media Maintenance.
  4. Select an empty media slot from the Media drop down.
  5. (Required) In the Receipt Description field, enter a description. This description will be used on receipts and for reporting. For example, Paydiant.
  6. (Required) Enter a Halo amount. This is the highest dollar amount that is allowed to be tendered to this media.
  7. (Optional) Enter a Lalo amount. This is the lowest dollar amount that is allowed to be tendered to this media.
  8. (Required) Select the Media is Paydiant radio button, shown below in red.
  9. Finish configuring media setting as desired. Then, select File > Save.

Paydiant Offer Media must be configured for use on the Front End when settling sales using the Paytons app. The Paydiant Offer Media is used for settling sales with special offers or discounts.

  1. Open the Back Office.
  2. Click the Maintenance icon.
  3. Click Media Maintenance.
  4. Select an empty media slot from the Media drop down.
  5. (Required) In the Receipt Description field, enter a description. This description will be used on receipts and for reporting. For example, Paydiant Offer.
  6. Check the Allow Refund of This Media Type check box to allow refunds of Paydiant transactions. If this option is not enabled, users may not be able to refund Paydiant transactions with Paydiant Offers applied.
  7. (Required) Select the None radio button, shown below in red.
  8. Finish configuring media setting as desired. Then, select File > Save.

  1. Open the Back Office.
  2. Click the Settings icon.
  3. Click System Settings.
  4. Select the Interfaces tab.
  5. Select the Paydiant tab.
  6. Select an Offer Media from the drop down. This should be the Paydiant Offer Media configured in the previous steps.
  7. Enter the Store Location, Web Service URL, Merchant ID, Terminal ID, Gateway URL, and Key provided by Paydiant.
  8. Click File > Save.
ClosedHow to Settle a Sale Using Paydiant
  1. On the Front End, ring up a sale, then select the Settle Check button.
  2. When the Settle Check screen appears, select the Paydiant media button. The Paydiant QR Code prompt will open.

  3. The customer will need to scan the QR code on the handheld or digital signage screen using their smartphone. The sale will settle (on the Front End) automatically and a success message will be displayed on the Scoreboard.

From within the registry, users can add a DWORD value of SendMessageBoxToAdDriver which will display a success message on the Scoreboard when a Paydiant sale has been settled. On a 64-bit machine, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Future P.O.S.\Future P.O.S. (on a 32-bit machine, the Wow6432Node will not be included in the path) and add the SendMessageBoxToAdDriver DWORD value. Be sure to enter 1 in the Value Data field.
