Licensing Your Future POS Software

The FPOS software must be licensed to gain full functionality. Licensing should only be done by a FPOS dealer or technician. Before licensing, complete the prerequisites listed below.

  • Ensure the Server and Backup Server are powered on
  • All terminals that will be used with the system should be configured in System Devices (this ensures an accurate terminal count during licensing)
    • Dealers will be given one Serial Code per Store Server or Enterprise Server. This Serial Code will remain the same despite any changes that are made to the store. When a dealer activates the license using the Serial Code, they will obtain an Activation Code specific to that store. The Activation Code contains the Terminal Count, Hand Held Count, Store Name, and Expiration Date.

  1. Open the Back Office.
  2. Click theSettings icon.
  3. Click License Future POS.
  4. Click Activate Online.

  5. Read the License Agreement, select the I accept the terms of the license agreement check box, and then click the Next button.

  6. Enter your Serial Code and click the Next button. FPOS will verify the serial code and register the software.

  7. The Software Registed screen will be displayed. Click Finish to save the license.

A Sync Data should be executed on the Backup Server after licensing.

  1. Open the Back Office.
  2. Click the Settings icon.
  3. Click License Future POS.
  4. Click Activate Offline.

  5. Read the License Agreement, select the I accept the terms of the license agreement check box, and click the Next button.

  6. Enter your Serial Code and click the Next button.

  7. Enter the Store Name and click the Next button.

  8. The end user will need to contact the dealer. The end user will provide the dealer with the values listed in the Pass Code 1 and Pass Code 2 fields.
  9. The dealer will provide the end user will the Activation Codes from the Dealer Portal. Dealers can access store codes by clicking Store Admin > Store Activation.
  10. Once the end user has entered the Activation Codes, they will need to click the Next button to continue the offline activation process.

  11. The Software Registered screen will be displayed. Click Finish to save the license.

A Sync Data should be executed on the Backup Server after licensing.

ClosedHow to View License Detail

The license details window displays the details of a license. If there are any violations a red X will be displayed along with any warnings.

To View License Details

  1. Open the Back Office.
  2. Click the Settingsicon.
  3. Click License Future POS.
  4. Click License Detail.
