Pre-Auth Report

1. In Button Maintenance, select Register Reports from the Function drop down.
2. Click Edit Function Data.
   
3. Select Pre-Auth under Report Type.
4. Under Report Options select your viewing options:
   • Allow User to View Report displays the report preview window. The user must select the Print option in the preview window.
   • Print the Report Immediately does not display the preview window and prints the report automatically.
   • Print Store Name displays the store name associated with the store's license.
5. Click the Configure Report button to configure your Pre-Auth Report settings.
   
6. Select Pre-Auth's to Show:
   • Show All Pre-Auth's for Yesterday displays any pre-auths that were performed yesterday.
   • Show All Pre-Auth's for Today displays any pre-auths that were performed during the current day.
   • Only Show Pre-Auth's for the Current Check displays the pre-auth for the current check.
   • Show Credit Card Account Numbers on Report displays the full card number on the Pre-Auth Report. If this option is deactivated, only the last four digits of the card number will be displayed.
7. Click OK to confirm your settings.
   
8. Click OK in the Select Register Report dialog.
9. Click File > Save As in the Button Maintenance dialog to save your settings.
10. When the Save As dialog appears, enter a Button Name and click OK.

You will need to finish configuring your button settings. For more information on configuring your button, see Create New Button.

1. After signing on to the Front End, select the Pre-Auth Register Report button you configured.
2. The Pre-Auth Report preview window will appear. You can choose to view the report OR print to a receipt printer by selecting the Print button.
3. Select the OK button when you have finished with the report.
   

Pre-Auth Summary

Displays a summary of pre-authorizations listed by check number.

Check #: The check number associated with the sale on the Front End.

Date/Time: The date (mm/dd/yyyy) and Time that the pre-auth was performed.

Card #: The full number of the card that was used to perform the pre-auth if the Show Credit Card Account Numbers on Report option was checked when configuring the Pre-Auth Report. If the option was left unchecked, only the last four digits of the card will be displayed.

Exp: Date: The expiration date of the card that was used to perform the pre-auth.

App Code: The approval code returned by the processor.

Card Name: The cardholder's name.

Amount: The dollar amount of the pre-auth.
