Edit Shifts
This function allows the user to change a shift without revising the entire schedule. The Edit Shifts function allows the user to add a shift, edit a shift, or delete a shift.
How to Add a Shift
- In the Back Office, click Maintenance > Schedule.
- Select an employee job code from the Job Code drop down.
- When the Schedule Maintenance window appears, click Edit > Edit Shifts. You may only edit shifts for the selected Job Code. The Edit Shifts function will not edit shifts for all Job Codes.
- In the Edit Shifts window, click the Add a Shift button.
- Enter a shift name in the Shift Description field.
- Enter a Start Time and End Time.
- Click the OK button to return to the Edit Shifts window.
- In the Edit Shifts window, click the OK button to save your shift change(s).
How to Edit a Shift
- In the Back Office, click Maintenance > Schedule.
- Select an employee job code from the Job Code drop down.
- When the Schedule Maintenance window appears, click Edit > Edit Shifts. You may only edit shifts for the selected Job Code. The Edit Shifts function will not edit shifts for all Job Codes.
- In the Edit Shifts window, select a shift to modify.
- Click the Edit Shift button.
- When the Edit Shift window appears, choose the item(s) you would like to edit.
- Click the OK button to return to the Edit Shifts window.
- In the Edit Shifts window, click the OK button to save your shift change(s).
How to Delete a Shift
- In the Back Office, click Maintenance > Schedule.
- Select an employee job code from the Job Code drop down.
- When the Schedule Maintenance window appears, click Edit > Edit Shifts. You may only edit shifts for the selected Job Code. The Edit Shifts function will not edit shifts for all Job Codes.
- In the Edit Shifts window, select a shift to delete.
- Click the Delete Shift button.
- The shift will be removed from the list in the Edit Shifts window.
- Click the OK button to save your shift change(s).
