Price Calculator

The Price Calculator allows the user to calculate an item's price based on the item's Ingredients.Once the user has configured the item's ingredients, they can enter a Desired Food Cost percentage in the Price Calculator to calculate a suggested Item Price.

  1. Open the Back Office.
  2. Click the Maintenance icon.
  3. Click Item Maintenance.
  4. Click the Price Calculator button.
  5. The Ingredient's Quantity (Qty), Cost Per Unit (Unit Cost), and Total Cost (Total) are shown by default. Enter a Desired Food Cost.
    • The Desired Food Cost is a percentage of the Item Price. For example, if the Item Cost (Qty / Unit Cost) equals $0.80, and the Desired Food Cost is 25% (.25), the Item Price will be $3.20. $0.80 / .25 = $3.20
  6. Click the Re-Calc Price button to calculate the Item Price. The Item Price will be displayed.
  7. After calculating the Item Price, click the Done button to close the Calculate Item Price window.
