CallerID.com Interface
The CallerID.com Interface displays a customer's information from the customer database when a call is received at the store. If a caller is not in the customer database, only the phone number is displayed. Users can add the customer to the database by clicking the Caller ID Line button on the Front End. In order to view incoming calls, the CallerID.com Interface must be running in the system tray. FPOS supports only the Ethernet model of the Whozz Calling Caller ID unit. Units can be purchased from the Dealer Portal.
How to Add a Customer to the Customer Database
- When a call is received, click the Caller ID Line button. The Lookup Customer by Phone Number dialog will appear.
- In the Lookup Customer by Phone Number dialog, click the Add New Customer button to add the customer to the database.
- The user will be prompted to enter the required customer information. Required information can be configured in Button Maintenance for each Caller ID Line button
- Once the user has entered the new customer's information, the customer will be added to the sale on the Front End.
